Well i had to give my brief synopsis on the "democracy in Dakar" i got the dvd i met the creator a very humble dude who i linked with via the internet a couple of years ago.Its always good to meet people especially if they share the same vision as you.Hip hop,Africa, politics and guns the usual i was actually very bemused when i thought about all these QB rappers talking about their guns and how brutal they are im SCARED! Well homey this is Africa this is my home and this is also a reality that millions of Africans had to endure while some boast and brag some feel pain and some endure heartless torment.Im quite a deep thinker and also mostly silent i absorb what i see and how i see might differ from what you thought i thought. The word democracy is swaggering around the air like a drunk woman, loose lips wide hips she is African to the bone. This documented feature film does a good job at exposing some of the issues thats at the heart of most Senegalese citizens dammit man let me rephrase that,at the heart of most African citizens.I feel African people faces so much dictatorship first we endured being enslaved and shipped fresh out of the oven, and now we mostly endure torment from people thats suppose to represent the nation people that have bought into globalization and ideals that represent western stake into our lives. If you want to see a documentary thats worthwhile definitely check out Democracy in Dakar.I hope that somehow our liberation would come from within our thoughts so that we may delete this obsolete past that haunts us,so that we may move forward and obtain true democracy that does not devide or conquer our lives or our values
