"I feel very sad about all this, it also affects me because cost of life
is increasing and our salaries still the same, but I stop and think
about those people who live in rural areas, those who work informally or
even those who have the minimum salary stipulated by the Government,
it's more or less 2.000MT converted into rands it's about R384.. now
tell me how can a person who owns 2.000MT each month can survive? 25Kg
of rice is about 500MT converted to rands is about R96, these people
they bills to pay, they have childrens, those childrens they go to
school, they have to pay transport, food, eish it's very sad...
While the president is renting 5 to 6 helicopters to do some campaigns
in some areas that he could go by car people here are suffering because
of all these prices that increased. Now why didn't the government reduce
the costs for helicopters and stuff like that?

Just as an example, before the independence Mozambique could produce
rice and sugar for Mozambique it self and Portugal, nowadays Mozambique
has to import sugar and rice from SA, can u believe that? We are owners
of Cahora Bassa (I don't know if u know it) that exports electricity to
SA and why do we have to buy electricity from SA? Can u see how
ridiculous this is?

But on this strike there were people who took advanced of the strike
because some of them were stealing stuff and doing vandalism acts, these
things I don't agree with coz lot of innocent people got injured and
some even die because of vandalism acts...

Yah most of rural parts are inhabited by dark skinned Africans. I got so
much to say about all these that I think I could even write a book!!! "

I think clearly there is a global trend thats happening and what the outcome will be i can not tell but its important for us to rise from the ashes.
